Talk:Mutual information
From Scholarpedia
This article lacks any mention of Rate Distortion Theory, which is also heavily dependent on the concept of mutual information. I believe RDT should have a separate rubric on its own, but it should at least be linked to from here.
Reviewer A, added after revision: I like this new version much much better and I am close to approving it. I delete most of my old comments. If I left some - that it because I am not always sure which ones are mine and which reviewer's B or C. I added new comments labelled "Reviewer A, added after revision". I made a few minor editions which can be seen in the "compare revisions" mode.
Other reviewer: I am also very close to approving the article, I think it is very much improved. I have inserted several minor text changes in the article (eg inserting "expected" before "number of yes/no question". When both reviewers have accepted, you should remove the reviewer comments (or move them to this page) as although not visible without being logged in they leave a blank space which I think the article looks better without.
