This article will briefly cover: The definition of conceptual short term memory (CSTM) as constituting briefly activated information from long term memory (LTM) used to comprehend novel but meaningful stimuli such as pictured scenes and sentences in the first seconds of processing. Evidence for the need for such a memory in visual cognition will be presented.
