Dr. John K. Tsotsos accepted the invitation on 20 January 2008 (self-imposed deadline: 20 April 2008).
This article will briefly cover: The tentative title will be "Computational Models of Visual Attention" and the article will overview basic principles that have appeared in the models, a brief historical perspective on the development of models and highlights/summaries of models that have demonstrated some interesting behavior or made predictions. The focus will be on models that claim to have biological relevance. Purely computer vision models will not be covered unless there is some compelling reason to include them (like superior performance that may be relevant for biological models).
